C.Q.C. Awards Us a 'GOOD' Rating

We recently had our first inspection by the Care Quality Commission and I’m delighted to say that we were awarded a “GOOD” rating overall.

The three-day inspection was very thorough. The inspector spent some time talking to some of our clients, to several of our CAREGivers as well as conducting a detailed examination of our management and administration processes.

We were pleased that the report makes particular mention that our clients felt the care they received was compassionate and based on their specific needs. In addition it noted that many of the people we look after regard their CAREGivers as part of the family, something we were delighted to hear. We’re particularly happy that the CQC have recognised the great work our CAREGivers do every day.

Looking at our systems and procedures, the inspector asked us to make a few changes to the information we keep in our files and to our internal audit process. We’ve already put these improvements in place, along with some other suggestions on best practice from the inspector.

Our “Good” rating means it’s likely to be around two years before our next inspection and we’ll use the time to make sure the service we provides gets even better.
If you’d like a full copy of the report just email Alison on [email protected] and we’ll be happy to send one out to you.
