At Home Instead we believe it’s really important that our CAREGivers build up a real personal relationship with their clients.
It’s a win-win really; our CAREGivers find their jobs more rewarding and our clients receive a better standard of care, as their CAREGivers will regularly put in that little b
it extra. It also means that sometimes one of team goes even further and when they do, we like to recognise it.
That’s why we’ve created our “Making A Difference” award, to reward examples of truly outstanding care Our first winner is Kate Fryatt and here’s her story.
On Your Bike!
A couple of weeks ago Kate was due to pop round and check on one of her clients who'd just come out of hospital. Unfortunately an accident had caused gridlock round Manchester that evening so when things ground to a halt on her way there Kate turned her car round, drove home and literally got on her bike. She cycled several miles through heavy traffic in the pouring rain to make sure her client got the care she needed. Great thinking and outstanding commitment.
We’re proud of our team and expect to be making more awards in the months to come.
