Val and her Oggies

Our delightful client Val has been making Oggies with her CAREGiver. Val has been wanting to make pasties for a long time, her son always made them. "They were always so lovely" said Val. So Val and Nicola gave it a go, it was a success. Val was so pleased ?? #celebratinghomecare #madewithcare An Oggie is a Cornish Pasty. Originally these were eaten by miners in Cornwall, a county in the extreme southwest of England. Basically it is pastry wrapped around a filling. Originally the filling was savoury at one end and sweet at the other.

Dennis conquers the River Dart

Our determined Client Dennis has finally fulfilled his dream. He wanted to get back into a Kayak and paddle along the river. After a life changing accident Dennis has managed to get his life back by being active doing the things hey loves. If he isn't running around a track, he might be in the Gym or swimming pool, but last week he decided along with his CAREGiver Pauline to get back on the water.

We are so lucky at HI south devon, to live in such a area of outstanding beauty. Since lockdown started some wonderful Cruise ships have moored off of Torbay. The local community have enjoyed this unusual site and some of our lovely Clients are lucky enough to have views from the balconies and properties
