This is awarded to a CAREGiver who has been with Home Instead for at least one year and who lives by the Home Instead Values of:
Compassion, empathy, sensitivity, reliability, patience and understanding
We asked all of our Clients to provide nominations for CAREGivers for the awards evening but this particular CAREGiver has received excellent feedback and compliments all year round. This CAREGiver was new to care when she started with us and her growth and progression with Home Instead has been astounding. She was awarded our Best Newcomer award last year, and she has continued to grow and flourish the whole year. Congratulations to Julie Moreton for being our CAREGiver of the year.
Looking through the nominations we received for Julie (Which CAREGivers are welcome to come up and read afterwards) we can already pick out some of the fantastic ways she has shown compassion every day with her Clients.
From taking photographs and creating photobooks for families, to travelling around her local area to find suitable reading material to gage her Client and buying a jug to measure how many soft drinks her Client is drinking, Julie treats every one of her Clients as an individual.
Julie is a naturally caring person, with a kind hearted soul and a real passion for making a difference. She balances her personal life, second job, bringing up her grandchildren and working at Home Instead with grace. We are so proud to have Julie on our team.
One way we can sum up Julie is by an Anagram sent in by a Client’s family member which spells out “HAPPINESS IN MUM’S HOME”.
Thank you Julie, for embodying and going beyond what is expected of a Home Instead CAREGiver.
Testimonials that we received for Julie:
“I would like to nominate Julie for an award as there is nothing she won’t do for her clients; she is always willing to go to calls when needed on her days off. If she feels the client’s needs anything she will go and buy it for them e.g. to ensure her Client was getting enough fluids, she brought her a jug to prepare her a soft drink to keep to hand.”
“Julie has, without asking, done a beautiful job of tidying up in our bathroom and neatly folding our towels. She has been and bought shampoo, shaving foam and deodorant which we needed. She is very good at helping my dad to wash/bathe, change his bedding and make him laugh”.
“I have found Julie to be very caring and helpful. She notices any bump or mark and if necessary, recommends anything I should see the doctor about e.g. she noticed the “mole” on my scalp which the doctor measured to keep an eye on. My husband and I also find her great company and we really enjoy her visits.”
“Julie has made above and beyond effort connecting with my dad with books and nursery rhymes and making sure his breakfast is prepared”
“Julie does everything she can possibly do to help. Always lovely with Nan and gets her laughing. Such a kind hearted lady. 100 out of 10 for Julie”
“Julie has gone above and beyond what is expected of a CAREGiver. She has taken it upon herself, but with our family’s approval, to take mum out for trips to improve her awareness of her surroundings and to interact with what is around her. One trip springs to mind where Julie took mum to the Park Hall Farm, Oswestry. Julie took photographs of mum feeding the animals and then had the photo book made up of the outing and gave it to our family”
