Welcome! 

Me and my wife, Ann-Marie became Home Instead Senior Care owners in York back in 2009 and have seen that grow to achieve an Outstanding rating from regulatory body, The Care Quality Commission (CQC). 

We were both attracted to the ethos of Home Instead after seeing how the organisation can make a real difference to people’s lives in their own homes, as well as providing employment opportunities in the community.

In 2020 we opened the office in Scarborough with the aim of bringing that same high quality personalised home care to the people of Scarborough & Ryedale.

Before purchasing a Home Instead franchise office, I worked in banking and in the telecommunications industry for 12 years and Ann-Marie comes from a background in marketing. We have 3 young children so understand first hand how difficult it can be for family members who have to work but also have a loved one who needs support and care throughout the day.

Hi, I'm Ann-Marie, co-owner and Operations Director of Home Instead in York as well as in Scarborough and Ryedale along with my husband Luke. 

My professional background is marketing and operations, mainly in the education sector. I have personal experience of how dementia can impact a family and the relationships within it. I am passionate about helping people live with dementia in their own home where they are most comfortable, in the same way that my Dad did. 

In my role as Operations Director I am responsible for supporting the team to deliver outstanding care to all of our clients. We do this by hiring the right people, providing award-winning training, monitoring the quality of everything we do and always applying ‘the mum test’ i.e. would this be what I would want for my Mum or Dad.

Tracey - Community Engagement Coordinator

Hi I’m Tracey, Community Engagement Co-ordinator for Scarborough and Ryedale. I worked for the same company for 27 years in various roles including Customer Service, Service Management and as a Regional Sales Manager building lasting relationships within the labelling industry.  I decided to leave the company to pursue a 15-year dream of becoming a foster carer for which I qualified 3 years ago and have fostered 3 children so far.  I found this to be extremely rewarding and a little challenging but it prompted me to see how else I could help people and with that in mind I applied to work for Home Instead.

The values of Home Instead are what attracted me to the company as they matched my own perfectly. My role is to get out into the Scarborough and Ryedale communities and build relationships with local providers and organisations; looking at opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to these local communities whilst raising awareness of Home Instead for potential clients and CAREGivers.
