Alleviating loneliness with companionship led visits

Loneliness is a common problem amongst many older adults. Sadly, this has been exacerbated by the pandemic. The habit of occasional visits by friends disappeared to protect the vulnerable and sadly these visits, we hear, in some cases haven’t returned.

At Home Instead alleviating loneliness through our companionship led visits. These visits are not necessarily about helping around the house or providing personal care. We have a number of clients who we visit purely for company and friendship.

A stroll around the park, a visit to the garden centre for a cup of tea or an outing to a National Trust venue are ways in which our carefully matched CAREGivers provide a better experience in life for the clients they support.

If you have a parent whose week would be all the better for a visit and natter, or a couple of hours out of the house in the fresh air, please do get in touch.
