Our Social Purpose
Home Instead, the world's leading provider in home care, exists to create a world where all people can age with greater hope and success.
Our purpose goes beyond the older adults we provide with our home care services. We serve all older adults through our community engagement across the world. This drives us to fearlessly create the world we want to grow old in tomorrow through Ready to Care by Home Instead®.
Ready to Care by Home Instead, is a movement to empower society to give support to senior-related causes, learn about ageing challenges so we can improve their quality of life, and serve older adults in their communities through meaningful connections. We want to create action and inspire everyone to get involved in our movement.
There is limited funding around the world for senior-related causes.
Home Instead Charities is dedicated and committed to ending loneliness and isolation for ageing adults across the UK. We do this by making grant awards and empowering local community groups who serve their ageing populations.
When we’re able to understand the issues facing older adults, we’re better equipped to address today’s most pressing issues and improve the outcome for future generations.
One of the ways we have given back in the UK is offering workshops and education to family members and the community around dementia. Through our Community Dementia Workshop we are able to share our knowledge with family members and the broader community. These workshops are free to attend and provide family carers with an understanding of what dementia is, the effects of the disease on the person and how to best support that person.
One of the most devastating issues facing older adults is something each of us can address: loneliness. Simple acts of kindness and connection can make a big impact.
