Philip Hits 500

Philip in his spare time volunteers as a Dementia Champion. Yesterday Philip presented at the Southcote library where he recruited his 500th Dementia Friend. His role as a Dementia Champion is to raise awareness and to also share the information about the personal impact of Dementia and what people can do to help. We urge for as many people to become a Dementia Friends as possible as it such a worthy cause.

Philip is working a lot with other teams to make Southcote a Dementia Friendly community. Philip has worked endlessly to ensure that communities of Reading understand the importance of becoming dementia aware. With the population of people in the UK developing dementia growing at a steady pace it is vital that we educate the communities of how to cope with dementia and how to support people who are suffering.

Congratulations Philip! You deserve a huge pat on the back!
