Dementia Action Week

For Dementia Action week Phil and Liz have been in and around Reading sharing knowledge about dementia. Raising the profile of Dementia to the public has been an important aim for Reading’s Dementia Action Alliance.

Phil and Liz have been touring around shops and library’s recruiting dementia friends and spreading awareness. Phil is a Dementia Champion and has recruited over 800 people who have all become dementia friends, Phil’s aim for this week is to recruit at least 50 more people and but the end of the year he wants to have recruited over 1000 people.

We here at Home Instead are taking part in various different activities from sky diving to car boot sales. We are aiming to raise awareness and raise as much money as we possibly can. There are plenty of ways to get involved, click the link below to see what’s going on around you.
