A special day was made extra special when Home Instead Senior Care Caregiver Teresa Goodwin visited her newest client Irene, aged 92, for the first time and arrived bearing a lovely celebration cake. Little did Irene know that she would be helping Home Instead Senior Care to celebrate its first year in business in Norwich.
Irene, who lives in the Golden Triangle area of Norwich is to receive regular visits from Teresa to help her with her everyday tasks around her home. She was thrilled to be chosen for the surprise celebration and to meet Chris Carter who owns and runs Home Instead Senior Care.
Chris said that it was appropriate to share this milestone with yet another new customer as in just twelve months they had helped to support over 50 local clients with a flexible care service designed to help people to remain living independently in their own homes. Demand for their service has been high and as a result the company now employs over 30 caregivers who work varied hours from full time to just a few hours per week.
Commenting on the birthday, Chris said: “It is a privilege to care for so many people like Irene. When we set up the business it was our wish to offer a service that would put us at the heart of the local community and to make a real difference to the lives of others and that’s exactly the situation we find ourselves in.”
He continued: “There is real pressure on the country’s care system and we are providing a really valuable service and take huge pride in the relationships our Caregivers build with our clients.”
