Home Instead wins national award as great place to work

Home Instead Senior Care has won a Silver Award for Best Place to Work in the prestigious UK Customer Experience Awards, which celebrate the very best in customer experience across all sectors.

Entering the awards gave Home Instead the chance to showcase our unique model of homecare, which puts our CAREGivers at the heart of everything we do.

We know that to deliver the best possible care to our clients, we need a highly committed workforce. By treating our CAREGivers with respect and maintaining an ongoing dialogue, we have been able to achieve unprecedented levels of staff retention in a sector where high staff turnover is the norm.

Our award entry highlighted our careful recruitment and training process - and the way that we listen to feedback from our CAREGivers. A particular achievement was the development of the Alzheimer's Care Training programme, which was implemented as a direct result of CAREGiver feedback for additional skills to support them in their work.

"Winning a Silver Award for Best Place to Work is great endorsement of our approach to recruitment and training," said Trevor Brocklebank, Home Instead CEO.

"We look to employ people whose attitude and personality fit our values and culture, and we train them to our own specific care standards. We empower our CAREGivers with the skills to do the job properly, but more importantly we make sure they feel valued. Ultimately, we know that if we have happy CAREGivers, we will also have happy clients."

The award follows hot on the heels of recent independent research which showed that 96% of our CAREGivers are proud to work for Home Instead, and 92% would recommend Home Instead as a place to work.

This in turn has led to impressive client satisfaction results, with 96% saying that their CAREGiver takes an interest in them as a person and 92% agreeing that they would recommend the company to a friend.

To achieve our aim of delivering outstanding care we need to employ CAREGivers motivated by a desire to help others, and willing and able to go the extra mile to exceed clients' expectations. If you're interested in becoming a CAREGiver, find out more now.
