A great time had by all at the Home Instead National Conference. We were joined by a number of guest speakers including Andrea Sutcliffe from the Care Quality Commission who spoke passionately about how care should look. She referred to a recent report submitted in relation to the West Lancashire and Chorley Home Instead Office who have been recently rated as outstanding
The conference marked the 10th anniversary of Home Instead in the United Kingdom. Lori and Paul Hogan joined the celebrations. Lori and Paul are the founders of Home Instead which started in the United States in 1994 after they had cared for Paul's grandmother for a number of years. It became obvious that with a little love, devotion and support, she was able to stay in her own home, and lived many years longer than expected. This experience inspired Paul and Lori to develop a Home Senior Care Service to help other families.
During the Home Instead National Conference this weekend a number of people were recognised as 'going the extra mile' by the founder Lori Hogan. Rochelle Monte from Home Instead - Newcastle was presented with a yellow rose from Lori. She identified Rochelle as somebody who spreads the message of Joy, companionship courage and respect on a daily basis.
A great moment and a well deserved recognition for Rochelle who certainly joins the mission to 'Change the face of ageing'
