Home Instead Newcastle has just completed the new training programme for CAREGivers. Our five new employees were the first to complete the programme. The purpose of the training is to equip the new employee with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to be a successful Home Instead CAREGiver.
The new programme, over three days, included learner guides, hands on activity, including role play and discussion, group and written quiz questions and video and power point presentations. We believe that this training compliments the already identified CAREGiver who has already displayed their genuine caring nature.

To compliment the new training we also asked one of our experienced CAREGivers to come in during the lunch break for an informal chat with everybody to share her experiences. This gave the new employees a valuable insight into the role of a CAREGiver.
