New CAREGiver Training

Home Instead Newcastle has just completed the new training programme for CAREGivers. Our five new employees were the first to complete the programme. The purpose of the training is to equip the new employee with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to be a successful Home Instead CAREGiver.

The new programme, over three days, included learner guides, hands on activity, including role play and discussion, group and written quiz questions and video and power point presentations. We believe that this training compliments the already identified CAREGiver who has already displayed their genuine caring nature.

All our new employees are asked for feedback following the training they included the comments

“I found the facilitator (Lyn) was very thorough in her explanations regarding the role of a CAREGiver. Lyn not only provided beneficial information, but she also made the course so enjoyable. The environment was made very relaxed by her”

“Absolutely spot on, very relevant to my caring role”

“The training made you stop and think outside the box”

“I found Lyn very easy to work with she made us work well as a team”

To compliment the new training we also asked one of our experienced CAREGivers to come in during the lunch break for an informal chat with everybody to share her experiences. This gave the new employees a valuable insight into the role of a CAREGiver.

We are always looking for the special person to join our team you can apply via this website or give us a call and arrange to come into the office to meet our team and discuss the role.
