We are Backing Golden Valiants to Tackle Loneliness.

Home Instead Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent have forged a partnership with Port Vale FC's award-winning charitable arm. The Port Vale Foundation uses the power of Port Vale Football Club to improve people's lives. Through the football club's charitable arm, they engage people, inspiring and supporting them to improve their lives and community.

During the pandemic, together with club staff, volunteers, and partner organisations, the Foundation provided essential, unrivalled support for families, young people, and isolated individuals across North Staffordshire. Working with 51,204 participants, they have seen the headline impact of improved health and well-being, increased aspirations and educational attainment, and better community cohesion. The Port Vale Foundation is incredibly proud to have won the English Football League Trust Community Club of the Year award. The Foundation's Tackling Loneliness Together Project has helped over 700 people in 2020. This practical programme aspires to end isolation, and those 700 people are now more connected in their community. Initiatives such as this have provoked a hugely positive response from the local community.

Home Instead Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent are delighted to unveil a new partnership with the Port Vale Foundation through the Golden Valiants programme, the new name for the Tackling Loneliness Together scheme. Golden Valiants will continue to operate previous services such as befriending calls.
