From Police Officer to Homecarer – BBC Radio Stoke’s In Conversation with…

On Saturday 1st April 2017, Keith Alldritt, our very own Home Instead CAREGiver of the Year 2015, appeared on BBC Radio Stoke’s Den Siegertsz morning show to talk about his interesting life and careers.

Keith served as a Police Officer for 30 years with Staffordshire Police and spent a large part of his career as a Wildlife Liaison Officer in the Police’s Rural Crime Unit policing animal rights issues.

After retiring from the force Keith discovered a new vocation in life with Home Instead, providing home help and companionship to older people. Keith revealed that working in homecare, helping older people continue living in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes surrounded by a lifetime of memories is the most rewarding experience.

Keith’s interview was so interesting that one listener contacted the show saying that Keith should write a book about his life. A first edition, signed of course, would be a great addition to our bookshelf!
