Where are we located?
The Stoke on Trent and Newcastle under Lyme office is conveniently located in the Trentham Business Quarter, just off Bellringer Road. We have an open-door policy for both our Clients and CAREGivers and although the majority of clients are seen in their own homes, you are most welcome to visit our office at any time. A private room is available should you need to discuss confidential matters.
Our story so far...
The business is owned by husband and wife team Paul and Sandra Edden, who both share a clear vision of providing a service which enables people to remain living with dignity and independence in their own homes with the care and support that their team of CAREGivers provide. We focus on working with our Client, their family members and any other agency involved in providing personalised care services to ensure that the Client always remains in control of their care choices .
Paul said: “Having helped to establish Home Instead when it started in the UK during 2005, I have been inspired by the tremendous difference we are making to the lives of their Clients and their families throughout the UK. I am very excited to bring this unique service to the North Staffordshire area. Most people wish to live in their own home for as long as possible. They want chores taking care of, but also want conversation and activities that help to keep them stimulated, happy and as independent as possible. My wife and I look forward to providing a service that makes a difference to peoples’ lives but that also is something that we can be proud of.”
It is this ethos which drives Paul, Sandra and their team to provide the highest quality of service with thoroughly vetted and trained CAREGivers. All staff have enhanced DBS checks and must provide at least four references before training begins. The CAREGivers are also carefully selected for their empathy and nurturing qualities, their caring and respectful approach to the elderly and younger disabled people, and their willingness to match their valuable skills with their clients' own requirements.
The Newcastle and Stoke Home Instead Office is part of a global network of more than 900 locally owned and operated offices. The business is registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides its services to privately paying clients and the NHS continuing healthcare service, and those with personal budgets and in receipt of direct payments.
What service do we provide?
The service that we provide is different to many care companies. All support is bespoke and individually planned for each client, with input to the planning always welcome from the client and their families or advocates. Visits are not rushed as Home Instead understand the importance of spending time supporting clients on a social and emotional level as well as getting the necessary 'jobs' done. We concentrate on building relationships between CAREGivers and clients, so continuity of staffing and introductions of CAREGivers to clients are of great importance.
