Sophie D'Rosario - Scheduler
Sophie joined Home Instead Maidstone back in 2016 as a CAREGiver, Sophie's energy, commitment and hard work made her the number one choice for us when she applied for the new scheduler role we created in November 2017.
Sophie's knowledge of our clients and their needs coupled with her understanding of the daily challenges faced by our CAREGivers gives her a unique skillset helping her to overcome the daily puzzle solving tasks of a care scheduler. As well as this, her ability to remain calm under pressure and her amazing work ethic all adds up to the perfect package!
Outside of work Sophie loves to relax with Arts and Crafts, spend time with her Dog, Muffy, and her Cat, Casper. She also admits to a slight obsession to everything involving Peppa Pig!
Amanda Dickenson - Head of Care
Amanda joined our team in August 2014 and has taken up the role of our Head of Care. Amanda has the responsibility of liaising with clients and their families, supporting our CAREGivers, meeting new clients, checking our compliance and quality among many other tasks. As you can imagine she is a very busy lady!
Amanda started her career in care over 20 years ago as a community care worker for Medway Council, she worked her way up the career ladder to reach the position of Service Manager. Amanda left Medway council in 2010 and moved into the private sector both as Manager for a Domicillary care company and then onto manage a busy Residential care home.
Amanda says "I was initially attracted to Home Instead because of their reputation for providing a quality service and being a class leader within the care sector, these are things that are really important to me personally and since working here I have found the team to be supportive, positive and and at the same time a lot of fun to work with"
Amanda lives with her 2 cats, Poppy & Beatle, and her rabbit Phoenix, she has 4 children 8 grandchildren, she loves gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lisa Newton - Head of Operations
Lisa joined Home Instead as a part time CAREGiver in January 2014, her talents were quickly spotted and she was promoted to our first ever Senior CAREGiver role in 2015.
In early 2016 Lisa moved into the office full time as our Care Co-ordinator, this is a really challenging role and Lisa's success made her the ideal candidate for our new Head of Operations and she started in this new role in November 2017. Lisa's responsibility is to bring together all the different threads of a busy care business and ensure all runs smoothly at Home Instead.
Lisa lives with her partner, two daughters and Shiva the Staffy, she is often to be found tending to her vegetable garden waging War on the slugs and snails!
Mark Craig - Owner
Mark is the joint owner of the Maidstone office of Home Instead Senior Care.
Since leaving school Mark has worked in retail management developing a passion for Customer service that he took forward into his own business nearly 15 years ago, he and his brother Andy manage a successful frozen food and grocery home delivery service specifically catering for older people.
"Working with mainly older people for the last fifteen years has really made me appreciate their needs and the support they require, unfortunately many of the services offered to Older people are not of a high quality and we have come across the attitude of "second best is OK" a little too often, we chose to challenge this by offering a high quality service and product that aims to maintain the customers quality of life and bolster their independence, these are qualities that are perfectly reflected in the ethos of Home Instead senior care".
Emma Chick - Head of CAREGiver experience
Having spent ten years working in one of the largest law firms in the South East, Emma took a five year career break from law to raise her daughter. Emma started her career with Home Instead as a part time care co-ordinator in 2013, Emma has worked really hard helping Home Instead Maidstone to go from strength to strength, in January 2016 she launched into a brand new role as Head of CAREGiver experience.
Emma's role is varied and challenging, she has to find and care for the amazing CAREGivers that are the lifeblood of Home Instead, she is often out and about in the community searching for the next superstar to join our team or meeting and supporting our CAREGivers to ensure they are happy and fulfilled.
When not at work you will regularly find Emma and her young daughter out in the fresh air walking their two Chihuahua's, Blossom and Violet, she enjoys watching motorsports at Brands Hatch, shopping at Bluewater and a Costa Coffee.....it has to be a vanilla latte!
