Spreading Christmas cheer across the Fylde

Once again we were delighted to spread some Christmas cheer to our lovely clients at this festive time, holding two Christmas parties - in Lytham and Poulton.

St. Joseph's Church Hall, Ansdell was the first venue followed by Poulton Methodist Church and we welcomed our lovely clients, along with several family members and CAREGivers.

The Home Instead office staff team were also present to help with the festivities, not least by presenting our very own 'Twas the Night before Christmas at Home Instead' panto!     Our Care Manager Dawn starred as Scrooge, supported by Dave (Ghost of Christmas Past), Kaye (Ghost of Christmas Present), Vikki (Ghost of Christmas Future), Jess (Bob Crachit), Loraine and Debbie as the Carol Singers, and narrated by 'Santa' Lois.    We did not manage too many rehearsals but the performances went really well (albeit with a few prop issues......) and the audience seemed to really enjoy watching us make a fool of ourselves.   We are already talking about next year's show!!

Our very own wonder in the kitchen Barbara made another delicious hearty meal of hot pot or cheese and onion pie, ably assisted by daughter Debbie who provided the fabulous home made cakes.... all washed down with some nice Christmas punch.

Lunch was followed with our annual treat of festive carols from the Children of Happy Days Nursery, Ansdell and Poulton - exquisitely sung and acted as always, much to the delight of everyone there.

All the clients went home with a special Snowman gift - made by our very own elf CAREGiver Emma - and all the children went home with a special little memento for their trees at home.  The afternoon was finished off with a raffle of Christmas prizes and a good old Christmas sing-a-long with the help of Jill on the electric piano.

All in all, two fantastic events, and a great opportunity to enjoy some Christmas fun with our Clients and CAREGivers.

Sophie Hoyle, Director of Home Instead Lytham said    "Once again, it was such a pleasure to see everyone enjoying themselves at our Christmas parties.  Everyone enjoyed some lovely food, wonderful singing and entertainment and had a chance to meet new friends.

...........Making people happy and creating good memories, that is what Christmas is all about'...."
