Out and about during Dementia Awareness week

DAW 2017 was a busy one this year with Lois our Community Development Co-ordinator getting out across the area promoting dementia awareness - something close to our hearts at Home Instead.

The week kicked off with a visit to the Solaris Centre in Blackpool where Simone and the girls in Cafe Chicco gave Lois a warm welcome.  Met some lovely people (and their pets......) and even came away with an Easter egg (long story).

After that we supported events at the Lytham Primary Care Centre on Tuesday, providing information to all visitors and chatting with friends old and new from the Alzheimer's Society and Specsavers Hearing.   At the same time we reminded everyone to visit our Memory Hub in the Pharmacy Waiting Area.   Our Memory Hub is a FREE community resource designed to help anyone experiencing or supporting someone with memory loss, and includes our Memory Tree for anyone wanting to leave a special memory of a loved one.
