Christmas is for Caring

Lois our Community Development Officer has been busy with the Christmas parties, Christmas cards and Christmas 'deliveries' but had time recently to pop into Clifton Hospital for their monthly 'Carers Cafe'.

This week was a special week as the audience were treated to a reminiscence session from Jimmy O'Donnell. Jimmy had lots of tv, film and musical clips from years gone by to show us, plus he brought along lots of old toys from yesteryear that evoked some great discussions about our favourite toys....... not to mention the original Dolly Tub with 'Peggy' ably demonstrated by one of the lovely visitors and the gramaphone that still plays great music.

We all spent a lovely couple of hours helping people to look back on fond memories of yesteryear.

At Home Instead we love to help people reminiscence about the 'good old days' and find ways to remind them of the hobbies they once enjoyed.  We have a VERY SPECIAL story to share in the New Year, so watch this space!!
