What is Home Care?

Home care is a way of assisting and supporting people in the comfort of their own home and enabling them to live independently for as long as possible whilst improving their quality of life.

Home care consists of support with a variety of daily living tasks. This has traditionally meant providing help with personal care such as getting up, washed and dressed and support with tasks like housework, shopping, and laundry. Many people need help preparing regular, nutritious meals and taking their prescribed medications properly and at the correct time. At Home Instead however we recognise that many people also like to have quality time with a person and companionship and that is an area we really specialise in. With all home care services it is important to remember that we are very flexible and can tailored our service to meet any individual requirements.

The objective of Home Instead Senior Care is to ensure that vulnerable older adults living on the Fylde Coast have access to in home care that is based on their needs, treats them with respect, maximises their independence and helps them maintain their way of life for as long as possible. We provide a real alternative to the traditional social care services that are centred on task completion and our support fills the gap which exists for companionship-focussed, person centred care.
