Because the same Care Professional is with you day to day, they get to know your needs and soon notice small changes, such as a change in appetite or less confidence on the stairs. They can raise these with family or local GP promptly, a reassurance for relatives who live further away. Your Care Professional has their own bedroom and works an agreed day with breaks, and stays close by overnight if help is needed. This is not the same as 24-hour care, so if regular care through the night is required, we will talk through the options. Most clients are supported by two Care Professionals who take turns every few weeks, with our local team planning the handovers.

Our live-in care is managed by a local team and because we are close by, we know the local GPs and pharmacies, and can call on trusted tradespeople if something in the home needs attention such as a leak in the bathroom. For relatives further away, a team who know the area and are close by is reassuring. Each one of our local Care Professionals is employed and DBS checked by us, and we train and support them throughout their career with us, including in areas such as dementia and Parkinson's. We are also regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, so the standard of our care is checked independently.
