Trusted, Personalised Home Care in Oxford

Having someone in the house you know and trust is at the heart of live-in care. Your Care Professional is there for company as much as for the practical side of things, helping with cooking, housekeeping and personal care while sharing meals and conversation day to day. Much-loved pets can stay at home as well, with feeding and walks part of what your Care Professional helps with. Staying independent and part of the local community matters a great deal to the people we look after, and because many of our Care Professionals drive, they enjoy taking clients out and about. That might be a walk in the University Parks or along the river at Port Meadow, a look round the Covered Market, or a lift to an appointment or to meet friends for lunch. We also support people living with dementia. Our Care Professionals have specialist dementia training, and having the same familiar person there each day helps many people feel more settled.

Our Care Starts With Connection

With live-in care you keep your own routine rather than fitting in around a fixed timetable. You choose when to get up and go to bed, what you would like to eat and how you spend your day, and your Care Professional is there to help with whatever you need. Because they are supporting you alone, they get to know you well, and they will often notice early if something changes, such as your appetite or how steady you are on your feet, and let your family or GP know. Your Care Professional will have a bedroom of their own and sleeps in the house, so someone is close by overnight. If you need regular help through the night, we can talk through the best way to arrange it. Most of our clients are supported by two Care Professionals who take turns to live in for a few weeks at a time, so both become familiar faces. We plan the handovers carefully and arrange cover if either is away, and everything begins with a home visit.

Our Oxford Team is With You Through Every Step

Our live-in care is fully managed by our local team, who live and work in the area themselves. That local knowledge helps day to day, because we know the GP surgeries and pharmacies nearby, along with the district nurses, and we can call on trusted local tradespeople if something in the house needs attention. We employ every Care Professional directly, DBS check them and give them ongoing training throughout their time with us, including in specialist areas such as dementia and Parkinson's. We are also regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, so our standards of safety and quality are checked independently. Families tell us it helps to deal with people close by. You can call us or meet the team face to face, and whether you are looking into care for yourself or for a parent, we are always happy to talk through how we can help.
