Our Managing Director, Paul Fray, has a personal connection to our work, his father-in-law received care from Home Instead for five years, shaping Paul's passion for delivering consistently high standards. Andrea, who leads our dementia training, began as a Care Professional herself and now ensures our team is fully equipped with the empathy and skills to deliver outstanding, person-centred support. This person-centred approach is reflected in the community initiatives we run across Fareham and Gosport. We host two monthly Memory Cafés, one in Wickham and another in Lee-on-Solent, featuring topical activities that recently included celebrating William Wordsworth's birthday and Easter festivities. Our popular "Singing to Remember" sessions bring joy once a month, with participants enjoying familiar tunes from the 50s, 60s, and 70s that often spark wonderful memories and conversations. The Home Instead team recently completed Dementia UK's March Dog Walking Challenge, raising £625 for this vital cause, and we're already planning our next fundraising event with Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW.
