We regularly accompany clients to the Fairlight Village Hall social events, where familiar faces and activities provide wonderful stimulation in a supportive environment. For those who enjoy sea air, our Care Professionals often suggest gentle walks along Fairlight Cove’s accessible paths, where the stunning coastal views can spark conversations and memories. We’ve built relationships with local shops in Fairlight and Bexhill who understand dementia, making outings for essentials or treats a positive experience rather than a challenging one.
We are led by Caroline Aherne, who founded our Bexhill-on-Sea service in 2016 with a vision to provide person-centred dementia care. Our manager, Tyne Sugden, started as a Care Professional herself and brings that hands-on experience to her leadership role. Our family-focused approach extends throughout our team, with Louise Aherne bringing her experience from care delivery to carefully matching the right Care Professionals with clients in Fairlight. You’ll always find a friendly face at our local office, where Louise Anton supports our administration and is always happy to help with any questions about our dementia care services. Our dementia care is strengthened by active involvement in local support networks across Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings. We host a popular Companionship Café on the fourth Friday of each month in Bexhill, creating a warm space where people living with dementia and their families can connect, share experiences, and find support. Our team regularly attends dementia alliance meetings throughout the area, keeping our knowledge current and ensuring we contribute to improving dementia support across the whole community. We’re particularly excited about expanding our companionship café concept to St Leonards, Hastings and Battle soon, bringing more accessible support to families affected by dementia throughout our local area.
