The Office Team
Adam May - Director of Care
I joined Home Instead Liverpool South in 2013 as Head of Care and was appointed as Director in 2019.
Previously, I have gained experience working in various areas of care, including working with Autistic adults, managing Assisted Living Facilities and elderly care.
I am passionate about providing quality care and have a particular interest in the effects of dementia on clients and their families. I gained my Level 5 Managers Award in 2014 and I am also qualified as a trainer in Dementia Care, Medication Administration & Moving & Handling.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends, watching Liverpool FC and tinkering with my classic Mini when the weather allows!
Zoey Scotland - Care Manager
I have loved working for Home Instead for over 10 years now. I started as a CAREGiver back then and have worked my way up to the Care Manager role in October 2018. I am extremely proud of working for Home Instead. We have a great office team and lovely CAREGivers, all working towards the same goal “Changing the face of ageing”. We pride ourselves on enabling our clients to remain independent in their own homes for longer- this is the greatest reward of my job.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, socialising, reading and going on holiday.
Claire Cronin - Finance Assistant
I joined the Home Instead team in May 2016.
Before joining Home Instead, I previously worked on a project in the South Liverpool area called “Wheel Meet Again”as an Administration Officer. This was a highly diverse role dealing with the over 50’s community. I feel that this may give me an advantage in my new role and I very much look forward to assisting clients families and CAREGivers alike.
In my spare time I like reading, watching TV and Socialising.
Caroline Kiely - Care Quality Compliance Lead
I joined the team in March 2017 as the care coordinator. I have now stepped into the role of Care Quality Compliance Lead in May 2019. I take responsibility for recruitment and training alongside supporting our CAREGivers through their journey via regular supervisions and meetings. I will be taking a more active role in the community, meeting more of our clients and helping our liaison team with raising our profile. I will be working closely with our Care Manager working towards further improving our already excellent standards and maintaining our CQC rating of ‘Outstanding’.
I have worked previously in care homes and domiciliary care in a variety of roles from support worker to home manager. I hold the level 5 QCF leadership and management qualification in health and social care.
I have previously travelled quite extensively and still love a holiday when I can. I’m a fan of all things vintage (except the price tag), love a live band and still intend to learn to cook one day!
I am proud to work for Home Instead Liverpool South as they have a fantastic ethos and I hope to be with them for a long time.
Dorota McFarlane-Care Supervisor
My name is Dorota McFarlane, but you can call me Dee. I joined the company in March this year as a Care Supervisor and I am really enjoying the role and the great colleagues I work with everyday.
Before taking up this role I previously worked in the care sector as a support worker and team leader with adults with autism and challenging behaviour as well as in operational and supply chain roles in the FMCG sector.
We moved to the Wirral in 2017 through my husbands relocation for work, and I have been a full time mum since February 2018 when our beautiful daughter arrived.
In my spare time I enjoy fine dining, family holidays, walking, reading and relaxing in the garden.
Jessica Atkins - Head of Digital Marketing
I have been a member of the Home Instead team since March 2017, starting out as the CAREGiver Liaison and On-Call Manager. Since returning from Maternity Leave, I have assumed a new role, Head of Digital Marketing. I now ensure that our social media and website are up to date, sharing our news and events and giving the spotlight to our wonderful team members. Prior to moving to Liverpool from the South Coast, I have worked in a variety of health care settings. Firstly in domiciliary care, and then specialising in Dementia care whilst working in a residential home as acting Senior.
Since becoming a Mum, tea has been substituted for coffee and sleep is a thing of the past! That being said, nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family. I have put down roots here in Merseyside and look forward to a long career here with Home Instead.
Tracy Jones - Client Liaison Officer
I have recently joined the team at the end of May this year. I am the new Community Liason Officer.
Previously, I have worked in Special Needs Schools as a Teaching Assistant. I have also worked for eight years as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities. During that time I worked for a while as Senior Carer of two houses which I really enjoyed. I have worked in day centres also and my most recent role was a Dementia Carer which was challenging but very rewarding.
I have also done voluntary work for Nugent Care for the past sixteen years.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and going on holiday. I also enjoy a little drink, especially champagne!
My motto in life is live for today as you never know what's round the corner!
Cal Kane - Care Coordinator
I started as a CAREGiver for Home Instead in 2016. The job appealed to me as I had been caring for my Mother who had dementia for 6/7 years and I wanted to help other people to live the best life they can with my support where required. I have always had a good relationship with the office staff and was welcomed into the office to cover Maternity leave for 6 months back in October 2018, since then I haven’t left! I started my new role as CAREGiver Liaison and was planning Support visits for our CAREGivers and Quality Assurance visits with our Clients. Soon after this I have now moved into the Care Coordinator role and through my experience of being a CAREGiver I feel like when planning the logistics of the Client and CAREGiver schedules I can do this to the best of my ability, ensuring the best continuity for the Clients and CAREGivers.
Hello I'm Jonty. I am a Labradoodle and joined the family in 2018. I join Coco, Sidney & Pixie as one of the office dogs.
