Home Instead Celebrates a Hatrick of Success, with Three Finalists in the Prestigious BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards

Home Instead is celebrating a remarkable achievement after three of its franchise owners were named finalists in the 2026 BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards, recognising the exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial success and community impact found across the UK’s leading home care franchise network.
Sunny Singh, Managing Director of Home Instead South East Northumberland, North Tyneside and Durham as well as Suhail Rehman, owner of 10 Home Instead offices across Scotland, have both been shortlisted in the HSBC UK Multi-Unit/Multi-Brand category. Karina Brown, owner of Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington has been recognised in the BFA Star Performer category.
The Strength of the Home Instead Franchise Network
These outstanding endorsements are a reflection of the franchisees’ individual achievements as well as the strength of the Home Instead franchise network.
The awards, organised by the British Franchise Association (BFA), celebrate the very best in UK franchising, recognising franchisees who have demonstrated exceptional business performance, leadership and commitment to ethical franchising.
For Home Instead, having three finalists across two highly competitive categories reflects the calibre of entrepreneurs within its network and the positive impact they continue to make in communities across the UK.
Sunny Singh and Suhail Rehman have both built thriving multi-unit businesses while maintaining an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care. Through strong leadership, investment in their teams and a focus on quality, they have demonstrated how sustainable business growth can go hand in hand with improving the lives of older people and their families.
Karina Brown’s recognition as a finalist in the Star Performer category highlights her dedication to delivering outstanding care experiences, developing her team and making a genuine difference in her local community. Her passion for supporting older people to live independently at home embodies everything Home Instead stands for.
As one of the UK’s leading home care franchise networks, Home Instead supports more than just successful business ownership. Every franchise office plays an important role within its local community, creating skilled employment opportunities, supporting local families and enabling older people to remain living safely and independently in the place they love most – their own home.
Setting the Standard for the Sector
With more than 265 locally owned offices across the UK, Home Instead’s relationship-led approach to care continues to set the standard for the sector, while its franchise model provides entrepreneurs with the support, expertise and shared values needed to build businesses that deliver both commercial success and lasting social impact.
Managing Director of Home Instead UK and Ireland, Ruth Brown commented: “To have three franchisees recognised as finalists in this year’s BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards is a fantastic achievement and something the entire Home Instead network is incredibly proud of.
“At Home Instead, success is measured not only by business growth but by the positive impact our franchisees have on the people they support every day. These nominations are recognition of their hard work, dedication and the strength of our collaborative franchise network. We wish them every success at the awards and look forward to celebrating with them”.
The winners of the 2026 BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards will be announced later this year, with the Home Instead network proudly cheering on all three finalists.
