Job title: Field Care Supervisor
Location: North Camp, Farnborough
Hours: 30 hours per week

Rate: £20,000 per annum (pro-rata) + £180 allowance per on-call weekend

We have an exciting opportunity to join our office team at Home Instead – Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet. We are looking for someone with experience in domiciliary care to join us as a Field Care Supervisor

Field Care Supervisors play a vital role in linking our office team, Care Professionals and clients. You will be responsible for supporting our fantastic team of Care Professionals and ensuring we continue to deliver an outstanding level of quality care for our clients. There are two major aspects to this role, Care Professional management and Client support. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding position with opportunities for career progression.


  • Line manage, mentor and support our Care Professionals, supporting them through their training and development and ensuring they are empowered to continue to provide the highest standard of care
  • Develop effective working relationships with the team
  • Assist with the continuous training and development of the team including facilitating courses in moving and positioning, medication competency, and specialist medication
  • Manage the workload and workflow across the whole discipline
  • Ensure all Care Professional touch-points, including competencies, care certificate observations, probation, supervisions and appraisals are completed on time
  • Provide checks on your clients schedule and work with the scheduling team to inform them of any time and personnel changes
  • Work with the care teams and Care Professionals to carry out client touch points including QA, service reviews and post hospital assessments
  • Review and update client care plans working with the care teams at regular intervals
  • Participate in on-call duties and cover care calls as and when required


  • You will have experience working within a domiciliary care setting
  • You will be computer literate and be confident using programs such as Outlook and Word
  • Caring is not a 9 to 5 role, and you will be expected to work evenings and weekends occasionally if required, though you will receive this time back as TOIL
  • You will be a driver with use of your own vehicle
  • You will be prepared to provide on-call duties and cover care calls, often at short notice, as and when required
  • You will be competent and confident working in an office environment
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
