Valuable Advice On Choosing A Care Provider
If you have decided that a person you love now needs more support, you will be starting to make contact with care providers.
Choosing a care provider is usually not easy, or instant. We always encourage families to discuss and agree their exact requirements before starting to make contact.
The provision of care services in your own home are regulated. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an independent regulator which registers health and adult social care service providers in England and inspects them to establish whether or not standards are being met.
All home care providers are obliged to ensure that staff recruitment processes are rigorous, staff are properly vetted, DBS checked and sufficiently trained and supported. You can read any home care provider’s CQC inspection report by accessing their website at https://www.cqc.org.uk an... looking under the ‘Services in your home’ category. You can then decide whether you want to enquire about care with that provider.
