Update on Mahdi's Charity Walk

Mahdi, our franchise owner here at Home Instead, Farnborough, is missing from the business this week.  He is in Scotland, walking the West Highland Way for charity.  Any funds raised will be given to the Bring Joy Foundation, Home Instead's national charity, which was set up to fund projects which literally 'bring joy' to elderly people.

The project we want to fund is the startup of a new dementia cafe group in Farnborough.  We know that those with dementia in the Farnborough area are not well-served for this type of group.  We even have local clients who hardly get out and about at all because there are so few places to go to which are truly dementia-friendly.

Today, 31st July, marks the fifth day of Mahdi's walk.  He still has around thirty miles to go before completing his walk from Glasgow to Fort William.  If you are reading this news article and would like to make a donation to this worthy cause, please click here.

To date, Mahdi is just short of half-way to his £1,000 fundraising target.  Please do give whatever you can to help combat loneliness for people in Farnborough for whom this new dementia cafe would mean so much.  Thank you.
