Our Sponsorship Of Daisy Chain Cafe, Yateley

Volunteers and clients of the Daisy Chain Cafe in Yateley stepped onto a coach last Friday afternoon, 12th July, in glorious sunshine, to visit Farley Hill Place Gardens near Reading.

This beautiful, four acre, private garden was opened especially for the group.  Everyone enjoyed looking around at the gorgeous flower collections, trees and shrubs.  There is a large, walled garden, well-stocked herbaceous borders and a herb garden to explore, as well as a recently restored Victoria glasshouse.  It was a kaleidoscope of colours and smells.

Following a walk around, tea and cakes were enjoyed beneath one the garden's shady gazebos.

Daisy Chain Cafe in Yateley runs each Monday between 2pm and 4pm, (except on Bank Holidays), offering refreshments and activities for those who live with dementia or memory loss.  It is staffed by volunteers (more volunteers always welcome!) and there is ample parking next to Waitrose.
