Life doesn't need to be dull when you get older!
Older people, particularly those living alone in their homes, sometimes become reluctant to get out and socialise, or participate in activities outside the home. This could be for any number of reasons such as health issues, for example. Whilst friends and family members can help, it’s often the case that their lives are busy with other commitments, making visits to older relations less frequent than everyone would like. However, there is a solution.
Our CAREGivers can support older people to get out and about. A short (or longer) walk in the fresh air can work wonders in lifting a client’s spirits. All our CAREGivers also drive and are insured to take clients in their cars to visit favourite local haunts and attend activity groups etc. This enables clients to be more involved in their local communities and enjoy life more fully again.
If you’ve not had the need to contact a care provider in the past, but are just starting to think about how to help manage an older person’s future needs, our guide to asking the right questions of a home care provider might prove useful to you.
