How CAREGivers can support with nutritional needs
It's still vital for older people to ensure that they eat properly to stay healthy and active. We all appreciate how important good nutrition is but it's sometimes difficult to know whether a loved one is remembering to eat regular, balanced meals. Often, you may not be able to keep an eye on things yourself and it can be a real worry.
This is something that our CAREGivers can assist with. They will check cupboards and fridges to make sure that nutritious food is available for clients, that the food is in date and is safe to eat, and that food is used in time and not wasted. Shopping is another service that we offer and we can either take clients out to the shops or do the shopping for them.
Preparing meals, or assisting with meal preparation, is something that we are also frequently asked to do. Whether breakfast, lunch or an evening meal is required, we can ensure that the right support is in place, giving you peace of mind and reassurance that your loved one is in safe hands.
