First Class CAREGiver Training And Development
Our CAREGivers are the most important people in our team. It makes sense, then, that we focus much of our time, energy and resources on ensuring that they receive the best training and development that we can offer.
Our greatest challenges as a home care provider are the recruitment, training, development and retention of our CAREGivers. We strive to ensure that we achieve first class results in all of these areas, enabling our CAREGivers to perform their role to the very best of their ability. Whether you are already a client, or maybe thinking about becoming one, you can be reassured that our recruitment process is rigorous.
In order to be offered a CAREGiver role with us, selected candidates are invited to attend training at our Farnborough office. This gives us and them an opportunity to get to know each other a little more. The benefit for the candidates is that they receive free training covering all the major aspects of being a carer, such as manual handling and safeguarding. This is knowledge which they can take away with them even if they don't subsequently receive a job offer with us.
Once successful candidates start, they will work towards achievement of their Care Certificate within three months, awarded by Home Instead on behalf of Skills For Care. We also provide City & Guilds training in 'Dementia Awareness' and 'End-of-Life' Training for those CAREGivers who wish to gain additional professional qualifications.
All our training combines theory with practical knowledge so that CAREGivers are well-rounded and able to deliver the outstanding our clients expect from us.
As testament to the way we look after our CAREGivers we enjoy a retention rate in excess of 90% with many having been with our franchise since it began in 2012.
