Black Cat Tea Room

The Black Cat Tea Room in Meads, Eastbourne, is a lovely village quaint café and traditional tearoom. Not only can you enjoy tea and cake, but there are also hot dishes, freshly made sandwiches and breakfast available. Service is friendly and efficient.

Inside and outside eating area, the indoor area is quite small and toilet access via the kitchen so not suitable for the less mobile. 5 star hygiene rating. Open Monday-Saturday, 8am to 5pm, and on Sunday 8am to 3pm.

The Old Town Café

The Old Town Café in Eastbourne is part of the JPK Project, providing a Supported Living Centre in Eastbourne for people with a learning disability. Show your support for this local charity! The Old Town Café serves classics, sandwiches, full English, soup and fish and chips, etc. at reasonable prices. Service is good and the staff are friendly.

Parking available and spacious café. Near to Gildredge Park so you could pop in after a stroll. Open Monday-Saturday, 9am to 3pm, and Sunday 12 to 3pm.

Friday Street Farm

If you are looking for hearty British food in a beautiful pub, then the Farm at Friday Street in Langney matches up. Open fires and log burning stoves and food using seasonal ingredients. Informal atmosphere and a warm welcome.

There is a free to join Diners Club offering 10% off the entire bill for members Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Just ask for your card at the bar. There is outdoor Seating, parking available, and the pub and restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Open seven days a week from noon, food served from 12pm.

The Plough Inn

The Plough Inn at Upper Dicker, Hailsham, is another great match for hearty British food in a beautiful pub. Nice atmosphere, comfort food in good sized portions, in this 16th Century traditional pub. Friendly staff and good value for money.

Outdoor seating in the beer garden, indoor seating maybe a little chilly in the winter! Parking and disabled toilet available. Open 11am seven days a week.

Skylark

Skylark Eastbourne is an award-winning independent cafe/restaurant located in the heart of Little Chelsea, Eastbourne. This ‘hidden treasure’ works with local butchers, fishmongers, bakers and coffee roasters to provide a range of food, drinks and treats. The staff are welcoming, and it has a lovely atmosphere.

It has a secluded courtyard garden for outdoor seating, and an extensive takeaway menu. Open Monday-Saturday, 8am to 5pm. Closed Sunday. Toilets available for customers. Near to free parking and just opposite the Uckfield High Street bus stop on the 28 and 29 bus route.
