They say that time flies when you're having fun and in that case the last ten years have been an absolute blast!
In 2010 my wife, Jenny, and I Started Home Instead covering Telford, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton, Newport and surrounding areas with the overwhelming desire to make a difference to peoples lives as they grew older.
To begin with it was a real challenge to persuade the community that there was a real alternative to traditional, task focused care delivered as fast as possible. But our philosophy was simple, 'to support people as we would our own family, with care based on companionship, trust , time and friendship.' For the first time individuals and their families had a real choice in how their care was delivered. It was this ethos that helped us be the first social care provider to be rated as OUTSTANDING by the CQC in 2017, and the first to be rated outstanding a second time in 2020. In the last 10 years our reputation locally has grown immensely. Families, individuals and professionals come to us because they want the very best care and are not prepared to compromise on quality, and neither are we. What we do isn't hard or complicated, it’s just about being there when we are needed and doing what we have been asked to do. With no calls less than an hour, your loved one and our CAREGiver have the time to get to know each other and build a lasting relationship. Many of our CAREGivers are seen as friends by their clients and their families. It's how we deliver care and support that makes us different. With patience, understanding and being passionate about giving the very best to each and every client, each and every day.
We are so excited about the future, meeting more wonderful clients and their families, developing more amazing CAREGivers and really changing the face of ageing. Just because get older doesn't mean we should stop living and we all deserve to have as full-filling and meaningful a life as possible, regardless of our age.
