Bridging the gap between tech & the elderly

We've all heard it from our mum's and dad's. "Old is gold".

True - but times have changed.

It's now more than ever that we need to work together to help get technology into the lives our elderly.

A study from Pew research found that 77% of older adults needed assistance when it came to learning how to use technology.

4 Tips on how to bridge that gap:

- Take is slow: Be patient and allow them to learn at their pace.

- Use easy language: Make it easy for them to understand. Don't try to be Bill Gates!

- Give them confidence: Allow them to do it themselves. Encourage them.

- Safety: Talk about safety and the additional benefits it will bring them.
