Our wonderful CAREGivers are specially selected on the basis of their personalities – kindness, empathy, reliability and a genuine interest in other people are all key attributes that we look for.
After completing an initial 3 days of award winning training with us, to ensure that they have the skills they need, they are hand-picked for each of our clients. We match them based on interests and background to ensure that quality relationships can be built.
Our CAREGivers receive ongoing specialist training, mentoring and support to ensure that they always deliver the very best care. They don’t wear uniforms – just a Home Instead ID badge – and a lovely smile!

Catherine Pearce - Care Manager
Hi, my name is Catherine and I am the Care Manager for Home Instead Senior Care Dorchester. I have many years of experience and knowledge in care. I started as a CAREGiver 10 years ago. After duties as a CAREGiver I then became care supervisor, care coordinator and now care manager.
I heard about Home Instead Senior Care through a friend and saw the positive differences in the way care was delivered by the company. “I have only been with Home Instead a short time and but feel privileged to be part of a great team providing excellent care and support to our clients”. I believe that the CAREGivers are the most important people within our team as they are at the frontline of our service and ensure our clients receive the best quality personalised service. Although the role can be very challenging, it is also very rewarding.
I like to make the clients and their families feel relaxed as care is sometimes a brand-new experience to most and can be very daunting. I would like to think that I can assist and make suggestions of how my team can help people stay at home and independent for as long as possible.
Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my family, making lots of happy memories. I also enjoy horse riding and walking around the countryside.
Romesh Dharmasingham - Owner
I moved to Dorset from Surrey in 2010 and immediately loved the fantastic scenery and the unique feeling of community, which I found here. I have responsibility for the overall direction of Home Instead Dorchester, working with our Care Manager and our team of dedicated CareGivers. I can mainly to be found in the local Dorset community talking about what we do and how we can support the older people in our towns, villages and surrounding rural areas.
Prior to setting up the Home instead Senior Care Dorchester in early 2019, I worked in senior managerial roles at financial institutions in London and then moved on to gain over 10 years experience of owning and running a successful group of regional residential nursing homes for the elderly in West Sussex.
I have developed a motivation to provide top class accommodation and care solutions for our ageing population and have a strong belief that there is no place like to home when it comes to making our clients the most comfortable they can be. I want to enable them to experience the very best service and our beliefs that only care good enough for our own loved ones is good enough for our clients.
Together with my wife Annelise who works as GP in Broadstone, we have 2 young children both of whom are very energetic and keep us very busy. We have a large extended family and love spending time with them all! In my rather limited spare time I enjoy playing golf and am a member of a club in Parkstone, Poole.
Sarah Fisher - Administration Assistant
I was born in Wales and moved to Dorset with my family in 2016 where I immediately fell in love with the area. I enjoy doing loads of things in my spare time like gardening, baking and cooking, crafts and going for walks with my family and dogs.
I Joined Home Instead in 2019. I heard about the Job Vacancy through a friend. I have not had experience in care before but I really liked the sound of what they stood for and how they match their CAREGivers with Their Clients. I was really excited to join the Team here and grow within this organisation and it's such an honour to bring joy to each of our lovely clients.
Terri Bugler - CAREGiver Recruitment and Development Coordinator
Hi, my name is Terri. I have worked within the care sector in Dorset for 8 years across a variety of care settings. I have always had a passion for care and for understanding how we can help and support the older members of our community. Dementia is a special interest of mine. Within my previous roles I completed my NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care. I wanted to progress in my career and Home Instead Senior Care stood out to me as a company who truly cares and met my values.
I joined Home Instead in Feb 2020 as Recruitment and Development Co-Ordinator for our care team. Since doing this job I have grown in confidence and it’s great to have a key role in nurturing the talents of our amazing team of CAREGivers.
I like to spend my own time with my family exploring and enjoying the beautiful Dorset countryside.
