Summer is here, and it’s time to celebrate with a fun-filled day for everyone in the community!
Home Instead, your local trusted home care provider, is thrilled to invite you to our eagerly anticipated Fun Day event.
This summer, we are bringing together families, friends, and neighbours for an afternoon of exciting activities, entertainment, and community spirit, all in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Come to our Fun Day in Swadlincote
When: Sunday, July 21 2024 at 12-4 pm
Location: The Wheel, 597 Burton Rd, Midway, Swadlincote DE11 0DH
In support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
This afternoon promises to be filled with joy, laughter, companionship, and, most importantly, a chance to raise money for this charity that is close to our hearts.
The pub will be open for food and drinks and we have an exciting lineup of activities planned for everyone to enjoy including:
– Pony rides
– A visit from Firefighter Simon from Swadlincote Fire Station, who will be bringing his fire engine for the kids to explore
– Live entertainment with a singer starting at 4 pm
– Hook a duck game
– Craft stalls
– Bouncy castle
– Tombola
Home Instead Derby South and Home Instead Burton upon Trent have come together to bring this fantastic event to our community. We’re delighted that the Fun Day will be held at The Wheel, a family-friendly and dog-friendly pub known for its great atmosphere.
This event is going to be a fun way to raise money for a fantastic charity. The Alzheimer’s Society is a cause close to our hearts, and we regularly raise funds to support their vital work. They also partner with us to provide a Memory Cafe in Burton upon Trent called Golden Memories, in collaboration with the Burton Albion Community Trust. Golden Memories is our social group for people affected by dementia and their carers. The group meets every Wednesday from 1 pm to 2:30 pm at the Vera Goode Suite (North Bar), Pirelli Stadium, Princess Way, DE13 0AR.
