As an owner I was extremely proud of the Home Instead Team on Friday 29th September 2017. This was when they hosted a Macmillan Coffee morning to raise funds for this wonderful charity. The event was organised by our networker Susan Welsh and her right hand 'man' was one of our caregivers Carol who even put a placard advertising the event in her garden! Office staff and caregivers gave 'The Great British Bakeoff a run for their money by the their mouth watering home made cakes (all virtually calorie free I am told) Many caregivers volunteered their time to bring some of our clients along for a lively chit chat and to indulge in the fare. We were supported by St Marys Parish church who gave us the use of their coffee lounge and also by the local media and press who advertised the event. Our main photo features our Trainer Emma with her daughter Alice manning the cake stall
To complement the cakes, a fit and enthusiastic Senior Caregiver Linda and her husband Phil 'dug for Britain' and added to our funds by helping an elderly lady with her gardening. The grand total raised for Macmillan was £350
Here is Linda showing the weeds just who is boss!
