Home Instead spreading the joy this Easter!

Our fabulous team of CAREGiving Easter bunnies – hopped around to all our clients to deliver their Easter eggs – you can see by the smiles that they were well received!

We are all feeling a sense of joy and anticipation with the opening up of society after the isolation and worry of COVID and we look forward to the coming of springtime and summer. Our CAREGivers can’t wait to take their clients outside – be it just to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine or to go for a walk along the prom!

We are so proud of our CAREGivers who, even at the most frightening times, continued with their caring duties. At least 85% have had their first vaccination and we have been assisting our clients to do the same – it is such a relief!

We know that many of our clients are also looking forward to their first hugs with the friends and families that they have been missing so terribly – we will make sure that we have some great photos of these reunions to share with you over the next weeks.

We were really pleased to donate to and support the churches of Frinton, Kirby and Walton this Easter. Eleven churches came together to share Easter joy with 21 local care homes and sheltered housing units – reaching nearly 1,000 residents and staff.  Sally Bates, Associate Pastor, Frinton Free Church was delighted that the delivery of goodies for staff and residents sent a message that they are all loved and appreciated and that this might lead to more opportunities for churches to support our local care homes.  Find Sally’s report here www.annachaplaincy.org.uk/post/sharing-easter-joy-in-frinton
