From Tub Skipper to CAREGiver

Our Care Professionals come from all walks of life and the lovely June O'Conner is a great example of someone who has had a varied career.

June has supported some of our clients in Brightlingsea but currently she's part of a team of Care Professionals supporting one of our Live-In Care clients, that's someone who requires round the clock, full time care.  Jean believes building a good relationship of mutual trust and respect is so very important for all concerned. 

Jean explains: "I feel it's a privilege to care for a person and treating each as an individual with dignity, respect and an open mind is crucial.  Everyone has a story, you only have to look at your own life with all of it's twists and turns to know that. Yes I am a Care Professional now but I used to be a Tug Skipper, most people would never expect that when they see me.  It just goes to show you should never judge a book by its cover."
