Just recently celebrating their two-year anniversary, Wake Cup is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea, with a selection of fresh, scrumptious cakes and delicious fruit tarts to satisfy your sweet cravings. Independently owned and run, it is a great choice with a range of teas, from the usual English cuppa to herbal and iced teas, including a great set deal for an afternoon tea which includes a selection of gourmet finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and any tea you fancy! The Wake Cup staff are welcoming, with a comfy and friendly atmosphere. They also provide wheelchair access, however there are a few steps, but the staff are more than willing to lend a helping hand to ensure your visit is comfortable and hospitable. Wake Cup is also dog friendly, creating a lovely day out for pets to enjoy some fresh air. As well as amazing teas and cakes, they also have a variety of brunches, including pancakes, English breakfasts and vegetarian paninis. With two locations, one being on Station Road, Breeze is the perfect place to enjoy Mediterranean breakfast and tea in the early morning from 8am and the afternoon. After starting their successful breakfast menu just over 2 years ago, which includes a selection of classic English plates to the Middle East, it’s found to be the perfect place for a lovely brunch with an amazing variety of teas and coffees. It has a diverse choice of hot drinks, and for the sunny days, iced teas and cosy outdoor seating to enjoy the sun in the UK (which doesn’t come often!). Located within a 5-minute walk from Chingford Station and wheelchair accessible with a ramp, if you’re looking for something different and exciting, with a warm welcome.

You can’t go wrong with a good old cuppa from Costa Coffee! This is the perfect place to grab a quick cup of tea, with a new launch of their iced fruit infused teas, perfect for the upcoming sunny weather (hopefully!). Independently owned, with all their food and teas and coffees freshly prepared, Scoffs is an amazing place to enjoy a sit-down cuppa to catch up with friends and family, or even by yourself. Established for over 10 years and open from 7am, they offer a great selection of sandwiches, pastries and wraps paired with specialty teas and freshly grounded coffees. The staff are friendly and inviting, it’s the perfect pit stop before enjoying a day out in the town. They also offer a selection of vegan options, making your food and drinks customer tailored. It’s the perfect place to bring the little ones along, with their kids and baby menu, being a place for everyone to enjoy. Located on Station Road, within a 10-minute walk from Chingford Station.
Butler's Retreat
A beautiful barn originally built in the 19th Century and located next to Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge, Butlers Retreat is the perfect place to enjoy a cuppa with a different and historical atmosphere. It’s a beautifully restored Essex barn offering an idyllic treatment in the heart of Epping Forest. This venue boasts stunning views over Chingford Plain with locally sourced food and drinks.
