Home Instead receives Employer of Choice Award!

Home Instead has received a '4 Star Employer in Care' Award from Steven Frost, CEO of WorkBuzz the awards organisers who said, “We would like to congratulate Home Instead Senior Care Chichester & Bognor Regis as a 4 Star Employer. What makes this award extra special is it’s based on feedback from thousands of  CAREGivers and is only awarded to the top 10% of companies that enter the Best Employers in Care Awards. The care sector too often receives negative publicity – in contrast Home Instead Senior Care has a strong culture whereby CAREGivers have the right support and training; are well led and have a strong commitment to deliver outstanding care.

The management team have been working hard on training and support of staff in the field, as well as recognising their achievments, and rewarding staff accordingly.

Simon McGee, Owner of Home Instead is delighted to have received the award. "Our efforts have been welcomed by the team. I'm really pleased to say that our staff genuinely love their work, and also feel appreciated by us as a company. We have always provided a very different standard of care to our Customers. One of our objectives for this year was to become the employer of choice for Care staff locally, and this award demonstrates we are well on our way to achieiving that aim. However, there are always ways we can continue to improve, and we're committed to being the care company that only the very best will work for."

Earlier this year the company received an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. The report described how staff feel committed to the company, are supported and enjoyed their work. To celebrate, the team went to Butlins for the day.  They returned again last week for their 3rd Birthday celebrations.

"Our culture starts with the people we hire and how we treat them. We are always looking to professionalise the way we provide care, but we want to make sure our team have fun and learn in the process. Although we've grown  dramatically in our short time in business, we still have a personal feel to the company which is very important to me.

"As far as pay is concerned, we have always aimed to pay above the market rates to our staff, and paid their mileage costs, but at the start of 2018 we started paying  for travel time as well. Now we offer a company pension scheme and an employee scheme that provides free counselling sessions to staff, as well as an array of other benefits such as financial or legal advice."

"We have some incredibly dedicated people working for us, both in the field and in our office. I'm constantly blown away with thier compassion and commitment to our mission: to enrich the lives of those they care for. Our staff are the lifeblood of our business, and it's my role to ensure they continue to love what they do".
