Our wonderful CAREGivers all share one thing in common - a truly caring nature.
Just like our Clients, our CAREGivers are all individuals with their own unique qualities and experiences. Many of our staff are mature - the average age of our CAREGivers is over 50. We value older workers, in particular those with life experiences that help them to relate to the families they are supporting.
Our staff draw on experience across a wide variety of settings, including nursing within the NHS, counselling with Relate, specialist cancer care with Marie Curie, and even nursery care. But many also have no professional experience in health or social care.
You don't need professional experience to join us: often personal experience of helping family or others in your community is a very good indicator that you would make an excellent CAREGiver. Above all you will be a positive thinker, someone who uses their initiative every day to bring joy to the lives of those in our care.
Check out some of our CAREGiver profiles for an insight into who works for us, what the work involves, and stories about their work with our Clients.
If you feel you have what it takes to help an elderly person in your community, even for a few hours a week, please get in touch.
Owner - Simon
I’m Simon, the proud owner of Home Instead Chichester and Bognor Regis. I am so happy to be running an outstanding care service that is transforming the way we care for older people in their own homes in West Sussex.
As a company, we do that by treating our team differently: we’re very selective when interviewing our CAREGivers, we provide extensive training and support to all of our staff, and we recognise and reward their achievements in bringing joy to the lives of those they care for.
We are always on the lookout for more community heroes, so please get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
I am constantly amazed by the wonderful world of caring people in our local community. Since establishing Home Instead, I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know doctors, nurses, hospitals, physiotherapists, churches, community groups, volunteers and charities across Chichester and the surrounding towns and villages.
I’m a Dementia Champion for the Alzheimer’s Society, and have first hand experience of caring for my own family. Home Instead in Eastbourne looked after my grandmother, helping her to continue to be independent in her own home right up until she passed away, a day after her 96th birthday. That experience inspired me to begin our service in 2015.
Our service is designed to help you or your family to remain independent at home, by providing 'relationship-led' care that ranges from assistance with everyday tasks or simply helping you continue to enjoy doing the things you love, right the way through to specialist dementia care and end of life care.
Our reputation, and your happiness, means everything. To us, it's personal.
Registered Care Manager - Lisa
Hi I'm Lisa the Registered Care Manager of Home Instead Chichester and Bognor Regis. I am so proud to have built a genuinely quality driven organisation here from the very start of our journey: Home Instead is a company that truly values its CareGivers as well as its Clients.
I have been working in the care industry for nearly 20 years. My experience has covered in home care, hospitals, end of life hospices, re-enablement as well as specialist Dementia care. The best part about my job as Registered Care Manager is that I never stop learning; every day brings something new.
My work has covered both private and local authority care environments. Regardless of the setting, I have always strived to achieve the best possible care standards whilst supporting older people to stay independent at home, whenever possible.
Providing a consistently high quality service and exceeding the expectations of our Clients and staff is so important to me. Please feel free to contact our office at any time should you have any questions regarding the services we provide.
I'm married to my husband Darrell and have four children, 1 girl and 3 boys. We also have 2 family dogs, Rosie and Murphy - a chihuahua and a British. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the local swimming baths and travelling.
Client Services Lead - Siobhan
Hi I’m Siobhan and I’m Client Services Lead here at Home Instead. I have been with Home Instead since early 2019 when I started as a CAREGiver.
I have been in the care industry for over 30 years, working with people with learning disabilities and older people in care homes and in the community.
Before joining Home Instead I spent many years in France supporting our local expat community to live in their own homes with support, including end of life care.
I am passionate about our older community members receiving the highest quality care and support which is what Home Instead strives to provide.
I and delighted to have found Home Instead and am privileged to work along side such a passionate and caring team.
Training, Development & Compliance Lead - Tracey
I’m Tracey and I am responsible for the induction, training and ongoing professional development of our CAREGivers. Being a CAREGiver is a physically and emotionally demanding job, but I believe making people happy is the most rewarding thing you can do in this life. I’m here to make sure we have caring and committed people working for Home Instead, that our CAREGivers are properly prepared for the work they do, and to support them with their ongoing personal development, making sure they remain happy in their jobs!
I'm also quite the stickler so enjoy keeping our information in an orderly fashion. I have administration and management experience in mental health care and learning disabilities with the NHS. I have also worked as a health care assistant (HCA) in hospitals and client homes.
I started out working for Home Instead in 2015 for a few hours a week as a CAREGiver, but am so passionate about what we stand for and the work that we do, that I naturally became part of the office team.
I’m happily married with a growing family. I’m also a bit mad about miniature dachshunds and chihuahuas.
Care Coordinator - Karen
I'm Karen and I've been with Home Instead since 2017, when I joined as a Caregiver, so I can appreciate the pressure CAREGivers can feel from time to time.
It's my job to make sure that our Clients receive care from CAREGivers they know and trust, receive the continuity of care they need, whilst also ensuring staff are happy with their working patterns.
Coordinating care for our very busy office can be a real challenge. But at Home Instead, knowing that I'm an essential part of our mission 'to enrich the lives of those we care for', makes my job really rewarding.
I love Home Instead because our whole service is based around the needs of our Clients, matching Caregivers that truly understand our Clients' emotional and physical needs.
Care Coordinator - Naomi
Hi I'm Naomi, and I'm the Care Coordinator for Bognor Regis and surrounding areas.
I have eight years experience as a CAREGiver, I studied for my level 3 NVQ vocationally in 2013 to take on more senior roles and worked both out in the community and in the office setting. I started with Home Instead in 2019.
I fully understand the pressures that the job of a CAREGiver brings and work along side my fellow coordinator Karen to match our amazing CAREGiving team with our clients ensuring we continue to provide continuity of care.
I am proud to be a part of the Home Instead team here, providing a premium service to both the community and our staff.
I have two daughters at home, we enjoy walking and going to the sea side, making artworks and being creative.
Recruitment Specialist - Belinda
Hi, my name is Belinda and I'm the Recruitment Specialist here at Home Instead Chichester & Bognor Regis.
My personal experience drives my passion for recruiting the absolute best CAREGivers, as both my parents receive care.
My Father has Alzheimer’s disease & receives specialist care, enabling him to live a happy & enriched life. My Mother is severely disabled, her care package enables her to remain independent & remain living in her own home. As my parents live 300 miles away from me, I know only too well how important it is to get the right structure in place.
Enabling clients to live in the comfort of their own home, with the support & reliability of great CAREGivers, provides peace of mind & reassurance to families. My personal experience combined with my 6-year Recruitment role at Virgin Atlantic Airways alongside over 20 years as an Onboard Manager for the airline, enables me to select the most suitable CAREGivers, who reflect our core values, for our clients.
With uncompromised focus on getting it right, it really is personal to me.
Care Quality Supervisor
Hi! I’m Nathan and I’m responsible for ensuring that all our Clients are receiving a truly outstanding service. I build relationships with our Clients and their families in order to understand, monitor and adjust the support they receive.
I joined Home Instead in January 2018 as a CAREGiver. My background had been in marketing, so a very different environment to social care. I was attracted to Home Instead because they were different. Despite not having any prior knowledge of domiciliary care I could instantly see that the Home Instead way was the ‘right way’ and this matched my own ethos and values. I learnt quickly and with the fantastic support from the office team was up and running and working full-time in no time at all. Being a CAREGiver has been a real privilege and I loved every minute.
Having now joined the office team, I continue to strengthen our relationship with all our amazing Clients to ensure that they are receiving and continue to receive the very best service from our team of CAREGivers. I am also responsible for auditing CAREGiver visit reports and spreading the word about Home Instead in the local community.
I’m married and have two teenage children. When not working I can either be found watching sport (I’m a Portsmouth fan), pottering in the garden or thinking about my next travel adventure.
CAREGiver Supervisor - Sue
Hi I'm Sue, and my role is supporting our CAREGivers, professionally, developmentally and emotionally in their work.
After having worked with children for 30 years, I decided that it was time for a change. I visited the Chichester office in March 2016 to enquire about care, and felt so overwhelmed by the compassion and sincerity Simon, Lisa and Tracey demonstrated, that I just knew I wanted to be part of the Home Instead team. So I resigned from my then current employment, completed my comprehensive training in August, and made the first visit to clients on September the 1st 2016.
In 2018 I became a part of the office team as a Supervisor.
I feel privileged to be part of this amazing team. I have also achieved so much in my own personal development.
Field Supervisor - David
Hi Folks I'm David! I have been with Home Instead for five years. I had no previous care experience prior to joining, having had a military and an engineering background previously, but I've always enjoyed the company of older generations; I feel we have a lot to learn from older people.
Since joining as a CAREGiver since 2015, I've cared for many Clients with some incredible experiences along my journey so far. No two days are the same, so you have to adapt to any given situation. To be a CAREGiver, you have got to give. In return, you get a sense of fulfillment; the knowledge that you've made a difference.
My Role within the company now is as a Field Supervisor for the CAREGivers. I am also a Qualified Moving and Handling & Basic Life Support Instructor.
Coming from County Durham, I'm somewhat notorious for my well-intentioned 'humour'. Whatever it takes to enrich someone's day!
Office Administrator - Channon
Hi I'm Channon!. Originally, I joined the team in 2016 to support with administration and now I am back! I strongly believe in Home Instead as an organisation and its ethos. I enjoy supporting anyone that contacts the office, from CAREGivers to family members to Clients and health and social care professionals.
Being effective in your work comes so much easier if you believe in what you say and luckily for me, this is the case! Alongside my role within the team, I am also in my final year of a Health and Social Care Degree. I have also recently become a dog mummy to Lincoln, my blue miniature dachshund puppy.
Our office dog - Floyd
Herro, I’m Floyd.
I’m a confusing cross between a lazy Bassett hound and a crazy Cocker Spaniel.
I adore being cuddled and am easily the most popular dog, whether I’m on the beach or at the office. I think it’s my ears that make me so irresistible.
