Home Instead, owned by Charlotte Johnson, was inspected by the independent care sector regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), in May and inspectors found Home Instead to be simply the best.
Only two per cent of home care providers inspected by the CQC have been awarded the coveted ‘outstanding’ rating, making this a truly impressive achievement. Inspectors spoke to clients, their families and the Home Instead team about the company.
In the report, one caregiver said, “Thank you team Home Instead. The support and belief I have from you all is incredible. This is the best company to work for. The best job in the world and the best decision I ever made. A million thanks for giving me the opportunities you have.”
A health care professional described the service as the best they had come across.
Clients were equally impressed with the company and told inspectors, ‘everyone has the skills and knowledge to support them’, ‘they are extremely kind and caring’, ‘they take the time to really get to know you’ and ‘they give you the utmost respect’.
Often it is the simple things which make all the difference. A client explained, “The very first thing that my caregiver will do is put the kettle on, because she knows I’m usually ready for a nice cup of tea”.
Charlotte who opened Home Instead in April 2017 said, “I am thrilled that in just over a year, our service has received an outstanding rating. I am incredibly proud of our hard working team and pleased to see their passion and true dedication being recognised in this way.
