Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.

Home Instead Essex had a busy networking weekend at Hylands Park; All About Dogs Show raising money for the Bring Joy Foundation. Thank you to Julie (Home Instead Chelmsford) for organising the event and great to see so many Essex offices getting involved and helping out during the hot bank holiday weekend. It was wonderful to be out in the community again seeing lots of faces and their furry friends. Brentwood, Braintree and Chelmsford offices come together on Sunday and Monday Frinton, Colchester and Braintree were out networking.
We are looking forward to teaming up with some of the other Home Instead Essex offices as the first event in over a year. If you are planning on visiting the "AllaboutDogs" show at Hylands on Sunday our Business Owners Steve and Claire will be here to speak to you. There is a display both Sunday and Monday so please come and say hello. We would love to see you and discuss how our Home Care works or to discuss our CAREGiver opportunities with you! ?? Today is the start of Dementia Action Week. Thank you to the Manager at WH Smith’s in Billericay High Street who agreed to have some Home Instead posters and Dementia banners placed in their shop window and an opportunity to speak to customers about Dementia. One of our CAREGivers has been speaking to lots of shop and business owners about Dementia and Home Instead. We have missed networking due to the pandemic, so has been a great opportunity to start building up new relationships in the community again. Thank you CAREGiver for supporting with leaflet drops today. The office team has been getting involved with having a dress Blue day and decorating the office in Forget Me Nots. It has been a great opportunity to share our support for the condition and we have completed some Dementia City and Guild courses alongside the theme week. Lots of our CAREGivers have been getting involved with sending in photos of their Forget Me In brooches they have been making at home ??
