Home Instead Brentwood, Billericay and Upminster was set up by Steve Willoughby and his wife Claire as part of the national Home Instead family.

We aim to provide the support needed for loved ones to retain their independence and remain in their own home for as long as possible. Whether you are enquiring about services for yourself or a family member or friend we are always happy to help.

Meet the team

  • I am responsible for the overall management of our business providing leadership and direction. I also support our team with the various events that we hold in the community. I am chairman of Brentwood Ageing well group and sit on the steering committees

  • I joined my husband  in the business in December 2013.  I took on the role of the Registered Manager and in my first two years achieved my level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. It was a complete career change, but I haven’t looked back.

  • I am responsible for the day to day running of our Client Services team. We ensure that our clients are kept safe in their own homes and that their beliefs and wishes are listened too.

  • I am responsible for all training provided by our company. I also undertake the first supervisions of our new Care Professional’s and ensure that their journey with us is smooth and supportive, guiding them through the Care certificate. I also keep our training programme.

  • I am responsible for the wellbeing of our Care Professionals, including conducting supervisions and support visits.  I also have various general administration  tasks including  payroll and assisting with client invoicing and recruitment.

  • My main responsibility is to have regular meetings with our clients and family members to review their service and update their Care Plans. This ensures they continue to experience person centred care with their changing needs from our wonderful Care Professionals.

  • I am responsible for coordinating new clients and new Care Professional schedules. Within my role I am also responsible for Care Professional’s holidays and their availability. Ultimately ensuring that all clients and Care Professionals are happy.

  • I am responsible for scheduling services and making sure all services are covered by our Care Professionals. My other responsibilities are checking our business email address throughout the day.

  • My journey as Weekend On Call Co-Ordinator at Home Instead is relatively new, but from the outset I was made to feel very welcome and part of the team.  I am on hand to offer help and support to our clients, families and my Care Professional colleagues.

  • The professional management of on-call weekend cover.  This entails liaising with Care Professionals, clients and family members, and with occasional interaction with external agencies or emergency services.
