Meet the team

Tara McPhee - Managing Director

Tara McPhee - Managing Director

I have personally experinenced how hard it can be to find a trusted and reliable source of care for a family member on the Fylde Coast.

For over 8 years, I helped my Mum look after my Dad at home, as his journey through dementia progressed.

We struggled to find quality and above all consistent care.

To have been able be develop trust and a genuine relationship with a CAREGiver or a small team of CAREGivers, would have made a huge difference to both my parents lives. After all it is allowing someone into your most private place, your home and often at one of the most stressful times in your life.

Therefore I genuinely feel proud of every CAREGiver we employ. We train every member of the team to a very high standard and my motto on recruitment is, 'If they wouldn't have been good enough for my Mum and Dad, then they aren't good enough for our team.'

We can genuinely make a difference to you and your family's lives, whatever their needs may be. If you would like to discuss any aspect of our services with me then please feel free to contact me personally.

Billie Colclough

Billie Colclough - Care Manager

Hi, my name is Billie. I joined Home Instead in October 2017. I previously worked for another care company. After only being with Home Instead for a short period of time their ethos and values of the quality of care continue to overwhelm me. I feel I have been trained to a high standard and I have been able to go out and meet some of our lovely clients face to face. My role means on a daily basis I am speaking with both clients and CAREGivers and making sure all our paperwork is to a high standard and compliant. I feel privileged to work with a long standing company with a team of brilliant and friendly people and I look forward to meeting lots more new faces in the future.

Vicky Peacock

Vicky Peacock - Scheduler

Hi, my name is Vicky. I am the schedule manager for Home Instead Blackpool and Wyre. I joined Home instead in May 2018 as an admin assistant and CAREGiver and was then asked to take over the scheduling when the role became available. My job involves scheduling all of the care visits we do and ensuring every client gets one of their team for the visit so they never see anybody they don't know. I introduce our new CAREGivers to clients and make sure the personalities match well. I also send out our monthly training to our CAREGivers which keeps everyone up to date with the most recent policies and care standards.

I deliver our Dementia Training course to the CAREGivers which from the feedback I have received, has helped them care for their clients and understand dementia more than they already did.

I am proud to work for such a great company. Tara is an amazing managing director and a great lady to work for.

CAREGiver Support manager

Kerry Vowels - CAREGiver Support Manager

Hello I am Kerry.

I am the CAREGiver support manager. I joined Home instead in May 2017 as a CAREGiver and was then asked to join the office team as CAREGiver support manager.

My job involves meeting with all new members of staff and processing their applications. I support new caregivers through their first weeks and months with the company and ensure that they have the right level of support they need. I encourage the caregivers  new and old and ensure that every aspect of their employment is just right for them. Part of my job involves keeping all staff personnel files compliant and providing ongoing training to all staff.

I love the home instead ethos, and the high quality of care we provide.

Working for Home Instead is great, no two days are the same. The team we have are loyal and hardworking and we always go the extra mile for the clients.

I am proud to work for such a great company.

CAREGiver Supervisor

Karen Peacock - CAREGiver Supervisor

Hi, my name is Karen. I have been working at Home Instead since September 2019.

I previously worked in supported living homes, caring for people with all different kinds of disabilities and mental health. I have over 20 years experience of working with vulnerable adults and believe I can help and train others in the field. I did my research into other companies and Home Instead Senior Care came out on top, it's ethos and values are outstanding.

I was offered the position of CAREGiver supervisor when I came in and interviewed with Tara. My role involves going out and supporting our CAREGivers in the field and ensuring they are comfortable, the clients are happy and to ensure the care we deliver is being done safely. I am thrilled to be a part of the forward thinking team at Home Instead with client driven core values and excellent service.

Sharon Wilson Deputy Care Manager

Sharon Wilson - Deputy Care Manager

I joined Home Instead in 2015 as a CAREGiver after witnessing the dreadful care my father received from other companies; I knew I wanted to make a difference and Home Instead with their person centred approach and high levels of consistency seemed like the right choice.

Home Instead are a pleasure to work for. The team are genuinely dedicated to making a difference. My role involves supporting Billie our Care Manager, but I also love to get out in the community and visit our clients both old and new and ensure they are receiving the best possible standard of care. I am currently working towards my NVQ Level 3 in Adult Care and hope to have a long standing career with Home Instead.
