Police Visit Home Instead Basingstoke Scams Team
On her second visit to our office in support of our scams awareness campaign, PCSO Lucy Ollerenshaw today presented Fraud Awareness Training certificates to members of our care team.
She congratulated Home Instead Basingstoke for raising awareness of scams by training 22 CAREGivers so far, and by offering half-hour presentations either in person or virtually to groups in and around the Basingstoke area.
PCSO Ollerenshaw commented that the initiative had become even more essential as a result in the rise in fraudulent activities during the pandemic. Sally, operations manager at Home Instead Basingstoke, explained ‘’We run the course for our CAREGivers to raise awareness and help them to protect our clients, whilst also offering presentations to groups within the community, free of charge’’. The course is approved and run in conjunction with “Think Jessica” and National Trading Standards.
More information on this Home Instead initiative can be seen in this previous news item Fight Back Against Fraud. To discuss booking a session for a local group please phone Sally on 01256 840660 or email [email protected].
