Our domiciliary care services in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas range from a few hours’ elderly home help or companionship care each week, to regular personal care, overnight or full day care, to 24 hour live in care. We offer specialist expertise in caring for those living with dementia, Parkinson’s disease and a number of other conditions.
No matter what you need, we will compile a bespoke care package to meet your requirements. Our care is different – because it is relationship based. By this we mean a small regular team of carefully selected carers, visiting at regular agreed times and looking to get to know you and your particular way of doing things. There is no “one size fits all” with Home Instead Basingstoke!
Elderly people can easily become isolated from the local communities they have known all their lives, and unable or unwilling to get out and continue their former routines and social lives. Care at home by Home Instead Basingstoke will help to preserve routines and will include social interaction, mental stimulation and the building of relationships with carers; it can also include outings such as shopping, local walks, local community activities or trips to local places of interest.
82 year old Martin, who lives with his wife Sue in Kempshott, manages his dementia by keeping very active. Our carer Julie takes him bowling at Hollywood Bowl in Basingstoke every week, giving Sue a much needed break to rest, recuperate and see her friends.

Our objective is to provide in-home care support that clients love because our carers really care. We recruit only carers whom we believe share our values and show a genuine empathy for the elderly.
After a rigorous recruitment and training process we carefully allocate carers to clients to facilitate successful relationships. Through visits at regular times by a small consistent team of carers we give clients the comfort of knowing that they are in good hands, cared for by people who have their best interests at heart.
Our carers are regularly praised. In a recent review, client’s daughter Elaine said “The lovely Care Professionals became like family members who consistently went the extra mile for Mum with all her changing needs”.
Despite its nickname of “Doughnut City” or “Roundabout City”, reflecting the number of roundabouts built when Basingstoke was redeveloped in the 1960s, Basingstoke has an interesting timeline dating back to the Domesday Book.
To reminisce about what life was like in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas in the “old days”, why not visit Milestones Museum, at Basingstoke Leisure Park, where you can immerse yourself in experiences of yesteryear.
If history is not your thing, but you just fancy taking your loved one out for lunch, why not try one of these great places for lunch around Basingstoke that we had a lovely time reviewing for you.
